How do I change my profile?

Tap the profile button in the top-left corner of the main screen (it shows your current profile, for example “Engineer”). Choose Engineer, Student, Craftsperson or Everyday. Your profile decides which converters appear under Main and which units each converter lists first. You can switch at any time.

Where are the converters that aren’t on my Main screen?

Switch to the All tab at the top of the main screen. It shows every converter in the app, grouped by type. You can also tap the search button and type the name of what you want to convert, such as “area” or “pressure”.

How do I get more or fewer decimals in my results?

Open the profile screen and choose 4, 6, 8 or 10 significant digits at the bottom. Use fewer for quick estimates and more when you need exact values.

Does UnityConvert need an internet connection?

No. Every conversion runs on your device, so the app works the same on a plane, in a workshop or anywhere without signal.

I found a wrong result, or I’m missing a unit

Please email akrat2720@gmail.com. Include the converter, the value you entered, the units you converted between and the result you expected. For a missing unit, tell me which converter it belongs in.

This privacy policy explains how Ask Krat (“I”, “me”) handles information in the UnityConvert app for iPhone (“the app”).

The short version

UnityConvert does not collect, store or share any personal information. The app has no account, no tracking and no analytics, and it does not need an internet connection.

Information the app uses

The app only stores your settings, such as your chosen profile and number of significant digits. These are saved on your device and are never sent to me or to anyone else. All conversions are calculated on your device.

Information you send me

If you email me for support, I receive your email address and whatever you write. I use it only to answer you and to improve the app. I don’t share it with anyone, and I delete it when it’s no longer needed. You can ask me to delete it at any time.

Apple

The app is distributed through the App Store. Apple may collect information under its own privacy policy, for example when you download the app or if you choose to share crash reports with developers. I only see anonymous crash reports and usage statistics that Apple provides in aggregate.

Children

The app does not collect information from anyone, including children.

Your rights

If you live in the EU, the UK or another region with data protection laws, you have the right to access, correct or delete personal information I hold about you. Because the app doesn’t collect any, this only applies to emails you have sent me. To make a request, email akrat2720@gmail.com. You can also complain to your local data protection authority; in Denmark, that is Datatilsynet.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, I’ll update it on this page and change the date at the top.
